Delco entered briefly into the automobile clock
business during this period, but due to the lack of restoration parts and relatively poor design of the original clockworks, we can no longer offer service on the original Delco clock movement. However, we can offer some alternatives to get your clock running. |

For those who want a vintage style ticking mechanical clock in their early model
Corvette, we offer a mechanical update utilizing a slightly more modern (and much better quality than original) electrical clock movement. Unlike the original Delco movement which utilized a magnetic pulse to power the clock, a spring driven electric movement will assure much improved dependability, and still keep the clock "ticking". This update will not affect the appearance of the original clock in any way. Even the power terminal will remain stock and the set stem functional. You will no longer have to set the hands to start the clock movement as with the Delco mechanism, and the clock will not be prone to stalling due to changes in voltage or vibration.

We can restore your '56-'57 Corvette "Westclox" clock

movement to original specs (provided the movement is intact and serviceable), or update it to a modern quartz movement.
The Corvette clock is identical to the clock used in
1955-56 full-size cars, although the New Haven version is not commonly found in the Corvette. |
